Introduction to Mindfulness
Before jumping into this 8-week program, this introduction will give you the big picture of why you are doing this. It will also review the scientific research, brain studies, and mechanisms involved in mindfulness training.
Click on the video link below to watch Richard Sears describe the stress response, what mindfulness is, and what this program is all about. You can then move on to the Session 1 whenever you are ready. Of course, you can return and watch the introduction video again whenever you like.
Each week, including this introduction, has a link to an audio file with a mindfulness exercise. Click on the link to play the audio. You can also click on the down arrow to the right of the play button to download the file to your computer. For those who are technically inclined, you can then import the file to your phone for easy listening.
